Exploring Smart Agriculture's Future: EcoBay Alliance & Macao Institute of Environmentalists Visit Zhuhai

On January 27th, the EcoBay Alliance teamed up with the Macao Institute of Environmentalists to bring together experts, researchers, and institutional leaders from Hong Kong and Macao in the environmental, scientific, and education sectors. Together, they headed to Zhuhai for an in-depth discussion with Lu Yu Technology on how smart agriculture can drive sustainable urban development.

This wasn't just a small meeting – we brought together some serious expertise. The delegation included representatives from the Institute of Chinese Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Endeavour Environmental Education Foundation (ENEEF), Macao Spin Incubation Center, Jinglan Cultural Development, and Torch Culture Media Limited, among others. The conversation covered circular agriculture systems, modular smart production technologies, and innovative farming models tailored for high-density urban environments. Everyone shared insights on the real potential and technical pathways for smart agriculture in Hong Kong and Macao.

The delegation then visited Lu Yu Technology's demonstration base in Doumen and their R&D headquarters in Hengqin. They got a firsthand look at their proprietary AIC intelligent control system, RAS water recirculation technology, and standardized aquaculture units – all showcasing their work in aquaculture and crop biotechnology, water resource recycling, and fully automated operations.

The EcoBay Alliance sees this exchange as a meaningful step forward in green tech collaboration between Hong Kong, Macao, and the Greater Bay Area. We're committed to continuing these conversations between industry, academia, and research institutions, developing smart agriculture solutions that work for urban settings, and helping innovative green technologies reach more communities.
