Coffee-Grounds Mushroom Kit
Our partner FoodCycle+ turns coffee grounds into a home mushroom kit, the Goo Goo Cube (Mushroom Farm Kit). The grounds are used as the growing substrate. After the kit is opened, mushrooms can be harvested in about 10 days. What is left of the substrate after harvest can be used as compost.
Feedstock: coffee grounds
Coffee grounds are the food waste left after brewing coffee in cafés and food outlets. Our partner FoodCycle+ uses the grounds as mushroom substrate and packs them into a home mushroom kit.
